EasyDutchNews helps you follow life in the Netherlands and practise Dutch through the news. Choose Read for a simple news-reading experience or Learn for language tools alongside the same stories.

Two ways to read

Read mode offers news in English, Persian, French, Spanish, Italian, Turkish, German and Dutch. Browse by topic, adjust the text size and save stories to return to on your device.

Learn mode adds simplified Dutch, sentence translations, vocabulary tools, audio and practice activities. Learning translations are available in seven languages; Dutch is the original text. Some features and sources require an account or a paid plan. See our plans for current access details.

How the news is prepared

AI assists with adaptation and translation. Summaries can contain errors or omit context. Each story links to its original sources so you can check the reporting. Read how we use sources or send corrections to info@easydutchnews.com.

Data and image credits

Our vocabulary tools use data derived from Wiktionary, including material under CC BY-SA 4.0. Our flashcards use the open-source FSRS scheduling algorithm.

Vocabulary images may come from Pixabay. Article images may come from Wikimedia Commons or Unsplash, subject to the individual image licence. Where shown, image credits identify the photographer and licence. See the full attribution page for data, models, software and required citations.
