Minute hand back on the clock of Dom Tower

Bu haberin Türkçe çevirisi yok. İngilizce sürümünü okuyorsunuz.

The minute hand of the clock on the west side of the Dom Tower is back in its place. At the beginning of this year, the large hand came loose. At that time, it was lying on the tower's gallery.

In a workshop, people repaired the hand and restored its beautiful golden color. Today, the minute hand, which weighs 70 kilos and is 2 meters long, was brought up the stairs into the Dom Tower. Technicians installed the hand in the clock.

They fastened it with a nut and a special bolt. The company that did this is called Klokken- en Kunstgieterij Reiderland (Clock and Art Foundry Reiderland). They say that everything went well.

The clock has been working again since the minute hand was put back.
