Als u vindt dat iemand een lintje verdient, kunt u die persoon nu aanmelden.
If you believe someone deserves a medal, you can now nominate that person.
U moet dit vóór 1 juli doen.
You must do this before July 1.
U meldt de persoon aan bij de burgemeester van de gemeente waar die woont.
You nominate the person with the mayor of the municipality where they live.
Dit heet officieel een Koninklijke onderscheiding.
This is officially called a Royal decoration.
U vult een formulier in en schrijft waarom deze persoon het lintje verdient.
You fill out a form and write why this person deserves the medal.
De burgemeester bekijkt uw voorstel samen met een commissie.
The mayor reviews your proposal together with a committee.
Ze letten op wat de persoon heeft gedaan voor anderen of de samenleving.
They pay attention to what the person has done for others or society.
Als alles goed is, sturen ze het voorstel naar de koning.
If everything is in order, they send the proposal to the king.
De koning beslist dan wie een lintje krijgt.
The king then decides who receives a medal.
Het is belangrijk dat u op tijd bent met aanmelden.
It is important that you submit the nomination on time.
