The Netherlands exported more in July. According to Statistics Netherlands (CBS), companies exported 2.1 percent more goods than in July 2025. Machines and equipment in particular were shipped abroad.

More chemical products and transport equipment were exported as well. In June, exports grew by as much as 3.4 percent. Companies also imported slightly more in July.

Goods imports were 0.4 percent higher than last year. More machines and electronic devices in particular were imported. Every month, Statistics Netherlands measures conditions for companies that export.

In September, conditions were slightly better than in July. This was because exchange rates were more favorable. Companies in the Netherlands, the eurozone and Germany were less negative about the economy and new foreign orders.

Nevertheless, Germany's industrial sector continued to contract. About three-quarters of total exports consist of goods. Statistics Netherlands publishes figures on goods exports every month.

Figures on services are published less frequently. The figures in this article may be revised later.
