Ashley Röttjers wins Utrecht Film Award for ‘Rain in August’

Filmmaker Ashley Röttjers has won the 2026 Utrecht Film Award (Filmprijs van de Stad Utrecht, the City of Utrecht Film Award). She received the award for her first film, Rain in August. Alderman for Culture Afke Groen presented her with the award today at the NFF Talent Awards (NFF Talent Awards, the talent awards of the Netherlands Film Festival).
