The Netherlands now officially has a real water shortage due to prolonged drought. The ministry is moving to level 2. Water will first go to dikes, drinking water, and energy. In Limburg and parts of Brabant, additional prohibitions apply.

ING must show the agreements with Google to the Consumers' Association by court order. It concerns customer data when paying with Google Pay. Furthermore, Europe says that Google must share search data. Competitors will get more access to Android starting from 2027.

The French parliament agrees to a fixed border with the Netherlands on Sint Maarten. This puts an end to an unclear situation of nearly four hundred years. According to French media, there was indeed a border, but without a clear legal status.

During the Four Days Marches Festival in Nijmegen, free women’s urinals will be placed in the city center. The organization is placing eight additional women’s toilets in the city. Three women can urinate at the same time in these lapees. This is to keep the festival open for everyone.

Feyenoord goalkeeper Timon Wellenreuther is leaving after four years to VfL Wolfsburg in Germany. In basketball, Kjeld Zuidema is moving from Donar Groningen to ZZ Leiden. The 25-year-old player signs there for two seasons. Zuidema played six seasons for Donar and was captain.
