The European Commission wants to change the ETS (Emissions Trading System) rules. This will give industry more time to work in a cleaner way. VNO-NCW (confederation of Dutch employers) considers that more realistic, but NVDE (Dutch Association of Sustainable Energy) and environmental organizations fear delays.

The plans are not ready yet. The member states and the European Parliament must first reach an agreement. Only then can the EU move forward.

The post-COVID centers will remain open for at least another year, says Minister Hermans. Of 27 million euros, 8.5 million is still left. In six cities, 1,550 adults and 350 children have been examined until the end of May.

HTM (public transport company in The Hague) stopped all buses in and around The Hague on Friday evening. A serious technical problem was found in several buses. After inspection, the buses will run normally again tomorrow.

Municipalities took documents offline after investigations by NOS and News Hour. They contained addresses, phone numbers, and sometimes social security numbers (bsn). ASML gives employees a one-time stock grant worth 20,000 euros, locked until 2030.
