Due to the drought, there is currently no shortage of drinking water. Sources can become dirty more quickly, and water can also become saltier. In the Westland region, small greenhouse growers threaten to suffer large losses starting next week.

These growers are no longer allowed to use water from ditches and lakes. Therefore, regional representatives are considering additional clean sewage water. The drought continues, as almost no rain is expected in the coming days.

Friday will be 21 to 25 degrees Celsius, Saturday 25 to 28 degrees. On Sunday, it could be around 30 degrees Celsius inland. According to NU.nl, 35 degrees Celsius is even possible next week.

In Amsterdam, about 70,000 passengers take the ferry across the IJ daily. Plans for a bridge have been stalled for decades. Furthermore, Bert Vloet, aged 86, has been measuring the weather in Overloon since 1978.
