Water boards in Western Netherlands are finding more cracks in dikes due to drought. In South Holland, they are therefore reinforcing two water barriers, near Hoogmade and Reeuwijk. Rijnland found nearly 150 cracks in 265 kilometers, and Delfland found 180 in 42 kilometers.

PSV starts the new season at home against Fortuna Sittard on Saturday. Bosz wants fewer goals conceded, and Sano and Kostic are not ready yet. Veerman and Dest are suspended, and Ajax is missing Brandt and Ter Stegen against PEC Zwolle.

MIVD (Military Intelligence and Security Service) director Peter Reesink had a public Strava account until this week. According to the Volkskrant newspaper, his routes were visible for years, including his home address and vacations. The Ministry of Defense calls this against the rules, and Reesink wants to delete the account.

The Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management is taking extra measures at the weak Merwede Bridge on the A27. More signs will be placed at limits, along the road, and at on- and off-ramps. Since July 18, there has been a ban for trucks and coaches there; within one week, 1118 fines were issued.

More companies report damage due to the data leak at CEVA Logistics. Ajax, ING, Zalando, and Ace & Tate have been affected; earlier, Bol and Bijenkorf were also affected. Payment details, passwords, and usernames were not leaked; addresses, emails, and phone numbers remain unclear.
