On Friday, at least one hundred tractors drove on highways to and from a farmers' protest in Den Bosch. On the A59 near Oss, two people died and six were injured in a traffic jam. Police tried to stop tractors, and Prime Minister Jetten asked farmers to avoid the highway.

Jorinde van Klinken won gold in discus throw at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham. She is the first Dutch person with a European title, and Femke Broeders-Bol won bronze. In the 800 meters, she equaled the record of Ellen van Langen with 1:55.54.
