Utrecht takes new step towards Rijnenburg district; sustainable development with flexibility

Utrecht (city in the Netherlands) is working on a new district, Rijnenburg (a planned urban area). This is an important project for the city. The municipality has now approved the 'Leading Principles Rijnenburg' document.

This document helps with the planning of the neighborhood. In Rijnenburg, there will be houses, workplaces, and amenities. About 50,000 people will live and work in this new neighborhood.

Construction will begin in 2035.
