The Kristallnacht and the fate of the Amsterdam Jews

English · translation

On November 9 and 10, 1938, there was a lot of violence in Germany. People attacked Jewish shops, schools, and synagogues. This was a bad sign for the Jews in Europe.

The attacks were very dangerous and left a lot of damage behind. Many Jews in Amsterdam also felt unsafe. This night is now called the Kristallnacht (The Night of Broken Glass).
