Utrecht selects winner of housing cooperative Leidsche Rijn

Housing cooperative Hommeldorp is allowed to build houses on Chisinaustraat in Leidsche Rijn. Between 20 and 40 houses can be built at this location. There will also be a space that everyone can use.

At least 75 percent of the houses are for social rent or middle-income rent. The rest can be slightly more expensive. This is the first time that the city of Utrecht has given a building site to a housing cooperative.

From now on, they will give two building sites to housing cooperatives every year.
