Dit jaar stuurt de Belastingdienst in februari weer de belastingaanslag naar mensen.
This year, the Tax and Customs Administration (Belastingdienst) will send the tax assessment to people again in February.
Op de aanslag staat hoeveel belasting iemand moet betalen.
The assessment shows how much tax someone has to pay.
Soms krijgt iemand geld terug.
Sometimes someone receives money back.
Dit jaar zijn er een paar dingen anders dan vorig jaar.
This year, a few things are different from last year.
Mensen kunnen nu makkelijker online betalen via de website van de Belastingdienst.
People can now pay more easily online via the Tax and Customs Administration's website.
Ook zijn de regels voor sommige aftrekposten veranderd.
The rules for some deductions have also changed.
Veel mensen gaan hierdoor iets meer of iets minder betalen.
Because of this, many people will pay slightly more or slightly less.
Je kunt de belastingaanslag in één keer of in delen betalen.
You can pay the tax assessment in one lump sum or in installments.
Op de brief staat tot wanneer je moet betalen.
The letter states the deadline by which you must pay.
Als je niet op tijd betaalt, moet je extra geld betalen.
