The tax assessment is coming again

This year, the Tax and Customs Administration (Belastingdienst) will send the tax assessment to people again in February. The assessment shows how much tax someone has to pay. Sometimes someone receives money back.

This year, a few things are different from last year. People can now pay more easily online via the Tax and Customs Administration's website. The rules for some deductions have also changed.

Because of this, many people will pay slightly more or slightly less. You can pay the tax assessment in one lump sum or in installments. The letter states the deadline by which you must pay.
