Housing construction in Hamerkwartier continues after deal with Ketjen

The Hamerkwartier is currently an industrial area in Amsterdam. The municipality wants to create a new residential neighborhood here. In this neighborhood, houses and businesses will come together.

For a long time, construction plans could not start because Ketjen, a chemical company, is located nearby. Ketjen and the municipality have now reached agreements. Therefore, construction can now proceed.

Many new homes will be built in the Hamerkwartier. Parks and shops will also be added. Many people will be able to live and work here in the future.
