Children's Mayor Kiyaro: ‘As soon as you put on your chain of office, you become someone’

Amsterdam will soon choose a new children's mayor and a new children's council. Over the past year, Kiyaro was the children's mayor of Amsterdam. He wore a special chain when he was working.

Kiyaro felt important when he wore this chain. During the year as children's mayor, Kiyaro got to do many fun things. He spoke with other children and adults about what children find important in the city.

Kiyaro found it a valuable experience. Now other children have the chance to become children's mayor or members of the children's council as well.
