Utrecht deploys speed cameras for the first time on 30 km/h streets

From Friday, April 17, speed cameras will be placed for the first time in Utrecht on roads where the maximum speed is 30 kilometers per hour. These speed cameras can be moved. They will be placed in locations where people often drive too fast.

The municipality of Utrecht is working together with the police and the Public Prosecution Service to decide where the speed cameras will be placed. They consider traffic safety and the usual speeds of cars in those locations for this purpose.
