On Wednesday, 14 October 2026, Utrecht will hold Preschool Day. On this day, parents with young children can visit various preschool locations. They can do so at Kind&Co Ludens, gro-up and Basker.
Preschool helps children prepare for primary school. At present, preschool is for children aged 2.5 to 4. The municipality of Utrecht (the local government) has said that preschool provision will be expanded.
From 1 January 2027, children will be allowed to attend preschool from the age of 2.
