Prospective Prime Minister Rob Jetten of D66 wants to make agreements with the VVD and the CDA this week regarding the distribution of ministerial posts. He has already extensively consulted with these parties, but no final decisions have been made yet. According to the Volkskrant, Jetten is given the benefit of the doubt, while the opposition's wish list is long.

Seif al-Islam Kadhafi, the 53-year-old son of the late Libyan dictator Muammar Kadhafi, has been killed in Zintan, about 130 kilometers southwest of Tripoli. Local security officials and his political advisor confirm his death, but the exact circumstances are unclear. According to his advisor, he was murdered at home by several men.

Seif al-Islam was long seen as his father's successor and studied at the London School of Economics. During the 2011 uprising, he sided with his father, who was killed that year by the National Transitional Council, ending his rule. Seif al-Islam was imprisoned for over five years for war crimes during that uprising and was released in 2017.

The International Criminal Court in The Hague had issued an arrest warrant against him in 2011 for crimes against humanity. In 2021, he announced he wanted to participate in the Libyan presidential elections, but these were postponed and he increasingly faded into the background afterwards.
