The proportion of women in management rose to 17.3 percent. The number of women on the supervisory board has remained around 26 percent for three years. More than half of the boards of directors consist solely of men.

In several places, voting passes were delivered incorrectly or twice. Some people did not receive a voting pass. Municipal mergers are a major theme this year in small municipalities such as Doesburg.

The police have arrested a 20-year-old Amsterdam resident for attacks in Germany. Four others have also been arrested. The man is said to have recruited others to carry out the attacks.
