The US and 31 other International Energy Agency (IEA) countries are releasing a total of 400 million barrels of oil. The Netherlands is selling over five million barrels from the strategic reserve. Trump, the IEA, and GTS say that prices need to fall and that gas remains vulnerable.

The New York Times reports that an American mistake led to the attack. According to sources, a Tomahawk missile hit a girls' school in Iran. Iran says that at least 175 people died, almost all of them children.

The Public Prosecution Service says that former mayor Herman J., 77, has been arrested and remains in custody. He is suspected of possessing images of child sexual abuse. A former employee of the National Coordinator for Security and Counterterrorism (NCTV) received 20 months in prison for secret documents, not for espionage involving Morocco.

Due to the strike, no passenger flights are departing from Brussels Airport. More than half of the incoming flights are also canceled. The Council of State stopped fewer flights at Schiphol and a wider ring near Utrecht.
