Local parties often won in the elections. In Moerdijk, mayor Moerkerke said that the future of the village was important. In Tilburg, GroenLinks-PvdA won 10 seats; in The Hague, Hart voor Den Haag (Heart for The Hague) won.

Fuel now costs more than 2.50 euros per liter according to recommended prices. In Belgium, there are long queues at pumps in the border area. Italy is lowering the excise duty by 25 cents, and the price is rising due to unrest.

The European Commission wants a new business form: EU Inc. With this, people can start a business quickly, cheaply, and digitally. Brussels wants to make growth in other EU countries easier, and many companies are positive.

Jumbo is selling fresh meat again at a discount, after almost two years. The supermarket stopped this to encourage more plant-based eating. Jumbo says that meat sales declined and cost millions of euros, but plant-based plans remain.
