Bravis back online, AIVD warns and asylum debate (Friday, April 24)

The patient portal of Bravis (a hospital group) is back online after more than two weeks. The hospital took the portal offline on April 7 after the hack at ChipSoft (a healthcare IT company). According to Bravis, no patient data was stolen, while ChipSoft is talking to the hacker group Embargo.

According to the General Intelligence and Security Service (AIVD), national security is under more pressure than in eighty years. The service names Russia, China, jihadism, and anti-institutional extremism as major threats. The AIVD also sees more cyber threats and online radicalization among young IS supporters.

The House of Representatives spoke on Thursday about asylum policy. According to NRC, a compromise about illegality was already reached within the coalition. Mona Keijzer, Group Markuszower, and JA21 submitted a bill against priority for status holders.

In Blerick, the mother remains in custody longer after the death of her 14-year-old daughter. The Public Prosecution Service suspects her of murder or manslaughter, and the father remains a suspect.
