1. 3.1Find suitable housing and understand the housing process.

      NederlandsHuurders hebben wettelijke bescherming. Bij een onterechte huurverhoging, slecht onderhoud, contractbreuk of onjuiste behandeling door een verhuurder kun je onafhankelijke hulp zoeken.

Een woningcorporatie, verhuurder of makelaar kan een passend aanspreekpunt zijn; beschikbaarheid verschilt per regio.

      NederlandsVoor een woning regel je vaak zelf energie, water, telefoon en internet. Weet hoe je een leverancier kiest, meterstanden doorgeeft, een storing meldt en noodzakelijk onderhoud laat uitvoeren.

      EnglishFor a home, you often arrange energy, water, telephone and internet services yourself. Know how to choose a provider, report meter readings, report an outage and arrange necessary maintenance.

      NederlandsOp een energie- of waterrekening staan verbruik en kosten; de bedragen kunnen sterk wisselen. Zuinig gebruik helpt het milieu en je rekening. Vergelijk ook contracten met vaste of variabele tarieven en hun looptijd.

      EnglishAn energy or water bill shows usage and costs; the amounts can vary greatly. Using less helps the environment and lowers your bill. Compare fixed and variable rate contracts and their terms as well.

3. 3.3Follow local rules that keep the living environment clean.
